Growing up in Wheatbelt WA immersed in the agricultural industry I witnessed first hand how hard it can be to grow a business when living in rural and regional areas. Over the past three years I have forged a path for the family business to market themselves in today’s society. Now I want to help other small businesses conquer the same thing.

So I’ve been thinking... being “on” all the time is starting to burn me out. I am tired both mentally and physically and I now realise I need to set some boundaries. So here they are: ✨ my working hours are 9am - 6pm(ish). I will answer calls, respond to emails etc in that time. Sorry- no more 8:30pm phone calls! ✨ I will not be ‘working’ on Saturdays and Sunday’s- if I choose to do some work that’s fine, but there is no pressure. ✨ I am halting new clients for the time being as I work through some things, I will let you know when spaces open up again! ✨ none of this applies if we have a launch of some kind. I will not leave you hanging on launch night when it’s 8pm and something breaks😂
Have you considered your customer experience lately? This is something you NEED to be thinking about regularly. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ The customer experience is everything that has happened and is happening from the POV of your customer. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ To retain customers and gain new ones you need for your customer experience to be a positive one. A bad experience will ensure that the customer will leave and bad mouth your brand on their way out. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Have you thought about your customer experience lately?
So you’ve got an email list set up and you’ve been collecting email addresses... but have you set up email automation? Set up one email and the have it go out to your signups at a certain point in your customer relationship. The welcome email is IMPORTANT, and it’s something that many people do open. Make sure that welcome email is going to stand out, to differentiate your brand from your competitors, to retain the attention of your lead and nurture that relationship. According to the Digital Report released just a couple of weeks ago THIS is what consumers are spending their money on! NB: this is the 2019-2020 data hence why the travel spend is so high (it will be so interesting to compare 2019-2020 to 2020-2021)
⭐️How can I stand out on social media?⭐️ Everyone wants to stand out from the crowd, but it can be hard in an over saturated world. Buuuut here is a couple of ideas on how you can begin to stand out from the crowd (don’t forget you need to work at it, be patient and consistent) ✅ Have a theme for your account and stick to it. Make it visually appealing. ✅ Don’t be boring with your captions. Educate people. Entertain people. Make people cry. Make them laugh. Make them think. ✅ Create your own voice. Your brand had a voice, you need to shape that voice and make it stick. ✅ Be authentic. Be real. People can spot a fake a mile away. They want to see the real you, the real brand, the real business. ✅ Be consistent always. Post consistently. Engage consistently. Provide customer care on social media consistently. ✅ Have a strategy and stick to it. It’s simple right? Wrong. You need to put in the work.
